Manual Review Process

Overview

The manual review process in timveroOS enables structured human decision-making for cases that require expert judgment beyond automated rules. The system routes these cases through department-based queues, provides comprehensive review interfaces, and maintains complete audit trails for all decisions.

Manual Review Triggers

Manual reviews are initiated when workflows generate warning facts that indicate:

  • Edge cases requiring human judgment

  • Regulatory compliance requirements

  • Data quality issues needing verification

  • High-value transactions requiring additional scrutiny

Department-Based Review Model

Department Configuration

Manual reviews are routed to specific departments based on expertise, for example:

  • Underwriting: Credit analysis and financial assessment

  • KYC: Identity verification and documentation review

  • AML: Transaction pattern and compliance review

  • Financial: Complex financial analysis and verification

  • Any custom one

Departments are configured in Settings → Catalogs → Decision Departments.

The Launchpad Interface

The Launchpad serves as the central hub for manual review management:

Queue Management

Three-View System

The Launchpad provides three operational views:

1. All Items View

All Items View
Complete departmental workload visibility

Shows all warnings requiring attention from the department, enabling:

  • Workload monitoring

  • Priority assessment

  • Resource planning

2. To Be Assigned View

Unassigned Items
Unassigned warnings requiring department attention

Displays unassigned warnings for:

  • Self-assignment by workers

  • Assignment by supervisors

  • Priority-based processing

3. Assigned to Me View

Personal Queue
Individual reviewer's assigned work items

Personal work queue showing:

  • Assigned warnings

  • Status tracking

  • Action requirements

Assignment Process

Assignment Options

Based on user permissions:

Workers can:

  • Self-assign items from unassigned queue

  • Process assigned warnings

  • Complete review actions

Supervisors can:

  • Assign items to team members

  • Reassign between workers

  • Monitor team performance

  • Override assignments

Assignment Workflow

  1. Warning appears in department queue

  2. User assigns (self or to team member)

  3. Assignee processes warning

  4. Decision recorded and actioned

Review Interface

Review Interface
Detailed review interface with full context

The review interface provides:

  • Warning details and context

  • Application information

  • Required actions

  • Decision options

Decision Actions

Approval Process

Approval Interface
Form-driven approval process

Approval characteristics:

  • Allows process continuation despite warning

  • Can be reversed while other warnings pending

  • Updates participant profile if forms completed

  • Maintains complete audit trail

Decline Process

Decline Interface
Structured decline with reason selection

Decline characteristics:

  • Uses predefined reason catalog

  • Affects entire application

  • Cannot be reversed

  • Triggers adverse action processes

Multi-Department Coordination

Parallel Processing

Multiple departments can work simultaneously:

Multi-Department View
Cross-department warning visibility

Coordination rules:

  • Each department handles assigned warnings independently

  • Any department decline results in application decline

  • All warnings must be resolved for approval

  • Real-time status synchronization

Status Tracking

Visual indicators show warning status:

Status Indicators
Clear status tracking with reversal options
Declined Status
Complete view of declined applications

Work Reassignment

The system supports flexible reassignment:

Drop Work Action: Users can relinquish assigned warnings Reassignment Options:

  • Another user can self-assign dropped items

  • Supervisors can reassign to different team members

  • Previous decisions visible to new assignees

  • Approval decisions can be reversed by new assignee

  • Decline decisions remain permanent

Form Integration

Data Collection Forms

When automated systems cannot determine values:

Form Builder

Forms enable:

  • Structured data capture

  • Profile attribute updates

  • Decision documentation

  • Compliance requirements

Form Assignment

Link forms to specific warning types:

Quality Control

Decision Documentation

All manual reviews maintain:

  • Complete audit trails

  • Decision rationale

  • Supporting documentation

  • Timestamp records

  • User identification

Reversal Capabilities

Approved decisions can be reversed if:

  • Other department warnings remain unresolved

  • User has appropriate permissions

  • Application not yet finalized

  • Valid reason provided

Performance Monitoring

Tracking Capabilities

The system tracks:

  • Review completion times

  • Decision distribution

  • Department workloads

  • User productivity

Operational Insights

Monitor for:

  • Bottlenecks in specific departments

  • Aging unassigned items

  • Decision consistency

  • Process efficiency
